Owners and pets get matching manicures!
Tuesday, July 4, 2017 - 10:58
We are all aware of how much of a weird and wonderful place the internet is, but the always trending pet pictures tag has really outdone itself this time. The latest twitter trend is people and their pets getting matching manicures using non toxic nail stickers and polish.
It's beyond us how somebody could make their cat or dog sit down for long enough to paint the nails of all four of their paws, never mind extra drying time, but is a trend we are thoroughly behind. Especially since most of the pets featured in the trend don't have some basic 5 minute quick lick of paint style going on, but intricate designs including two colours or glitter top coats. Which personally I would struggle to do on my own human sized nails
Top three favourites manicures
Here are our top three favourites that we found while browsing the trend on twitter;
First is Cristi and her Tabby Sphinx mix Wednesday's matching purple glittery manicure! Plus as if the picture isn't cute enough, it is captioned 'bffs'and it is enough to make us want to ditch our friends and make best friends with a feline as soon as possible.
Next is twitter user @rockmanticsoul and her pups matching pastel designs. While the owner has gone for a floral design over the top, she has opted for a block colour for her dog, which we're guessing is because its quite hard to paint a Japanese lily on such little nails.
Last but not least (as it's our favourite we've seen) is Melanie and her golden retriever Ruby. Their matching pastel and gold nail stickers are so well done and too cute for words! And for those worrying about what will happen when the dog starts licking her paws, Melanie stated "they're non toxic nail stickers & even then I didn't leave them on her. Was literally just for the picture".
This has definitely been our favourite twitter trend of the last week as not only is it adorable and hilarious, but each picture we see never fails to cheer up our day!
