With less than a month to go until Harrogate Fashion Week returns from 2nd-4th August, buyers from across the UK and Ireland are preparing for three days of buying and networking in the heart of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate.
As the UK's leading womenswear trade show, HFW brings together over 250 brands across womenswear, footwear, accessories, jewellery, occasionwear, lingerie and swimwear, giving retailers the opportunity to complete all their buying for the season ahead in just one trip.
Time is valuable, so having the ability to compare collections, discover new brands, catch up with suppliers and network with other buyers in one three-day trip is one of the reasons why HFW has become a must-attend event in many buyers' calendars.
Not only this, but the abundance of stylish hotels, welcoming restaurants and charming bars and cafes provides an excellent setting for visitors to wind down after a busy day of buying. The town is also well connected by train, has plenty of parking, and is only 25 minutes away from Leeds Bradford Airport, which has daily flights from Ireland and Scotland for those buyers coming from further afield.
"It's a no-brainer for us, convenient parking, brilliant hotels, and a wealth of fantastic restaurants to wind down in after a full day of buying," says Tiffany, owner of Renes Fashion in Lancaster. "It turns a work trip into a mini retreat, and we always come away inspired."
HFW has also built a strong sense of community, offering buyers and exhibitors a relaxed, friendly atmosphere to do serious business, which keeps them coming back season after season.
Alongside three days of buying, visitors can enjoy a series of complimentary networking events throughout the show. The popular coffee, pastry and prosecco happy hours offer buyers the chance to take a break in between buying, gather their thoughts and connect with other buyers in a relaxed setting. The much-loved HFW Summer Party on Sunday evening will also provide the perfect opportunity to celebrate another season, with canapés, drinks and live music.
"One of the things we hear time and time again is how valuable buyers find being able to do so much of their buying in one place. Alongside that, they love the atmosphere and the chance to reconnect with people from across the industry," says Georgia Flynn, Event Director of Harrogate Fashion Week.
"Harrogate Fashion Week is great at bringing people together. Of course, there's business to be done, but it's also the perfect opportunity for building relationships, discovering new ideas and getting inspired about the season ahead. We're really looking forward to welcoming everyone back in August."
