Visitors to Glee this year were able to explore the newly launched Dinova Garden Art and Sereno range of statues unveiled by Melmar Stone.
With over 50 new and updated products on show, the 2 ranges, both new to GLEE, represented a significant departure from Melmar Stone’s popular range of traditional stone birdbaths and ornaments, placing consumer trends at the heart of their product development process.
Dinova Garden Art featured a range of hand crafted ornaments made from resin blended with crushed marble to give a fine alabaster type finish. Their comprehensive range of cutting edge and traditional designs are influenced by a contemporary style with superb definition not obtainable with traditional stone products. Aimed at the younger demographic they have successfully increased the target market for the outside and landscape buyer.
Sereno Statues are firmly aimed at the older consumer, being considerably lighter than stone for ease of handling they provide a popular value proposition with traditional and oriental designs. Made from fibre-clay and polyresin they complement traditional stoneware at a lower price point with lighter weight.
Chris Fitzpatrick, Director of Melmar Stone said “Glee is always a strong platform for Melmar Stone but this year exceeded even our most optimistic forecasts. As in previous exhibitions, the traditional stoneware we manufacture was well received, but the addition of the new “high end” Dinova Garden Art and “value” range of Sereno Statues mean we can now effectively provide our garden centre customers with a comprehensive range from just one supplier through our nationwide sales team.”
