The parent company of Zest 4 Leisure, a leading trade supplier of quality timber garden products including furniture, arches, arbours and fencing, is featured in the London Stock Exchange Group 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2018 report. 

The annual report, now in its fifth year, identifies the UK’s fastest-growing SMEs and high growth companies across different sectors and regions. The P&A Group of Companies is just one of twenty businesses from Wales to be featured in the report.

Steve Morgan, Managing Director of Zest 4 Leisure said: “We are delighted to be included in this report for the first time and I believe it’s a testament to the hard work of the team here in Mold. 

“We have made a number of investments in the past year, such as in our new warehouse and distribution centre at Saltney, near Chester, which have enabled us to expand our offering as well as recruit more people. However, we are not stopping here as plans are already in place for the expansion and strategic development of the family-run company.”

This latest achievement follows a visit by The Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt Hon Philip Hammond last June to hear how the family run business has seen year on year growth in the last seven years.

The Rt Hon Hammond said at the time, “P&A Group is a brilliant example of a local business with national ambition. They aim to grow their company and also give back to the community in which they operate.”

“It was a pleasure to see how they operate.”

Zest 4 Leisure is on track to have its most successful trading year since being established in 2005.

Commenting on this, Steve said: “While a couple of cold snaps in early spring undoubtedly impacted on the ‘grow your own’ category, we have seen huge growth in our decorative, fencing and planter offerings. We also now have two distinct ranges to support both stockists and online customers through the newly created Zest 4 Leisure Direct brand so it’s an incredibly exciting time for the business.

 He concludes: “Zest is a young and inspired company passionate about timber and new ideas for garden leisure. Thanks to increased resource in our new product development department we will shortly be unveiling a raft of new products for 2019 at the upcoming trade shows so the future is looking very bright for Zest 4 Leisure.”
