THE GARDEN Centre Association’s (GCA) 56th annual conference due to take place at the end of this month has been postponed as a result of the ongoing spread of Omicron (January 2022).

The organisation’s executive committee has taken the decision to defer the event based on safety concerns and made the announcement to members this morning (January 10).

Tammy Woodhouse, GCA Chairman Elect, who is due to take office as Chairman this month, explains: “I’m very disappointed to announce that we’ve decided to postpone the January 2022 GCA conference. 


The Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa

BOOKING has now opened (November 2021) for the Garden Centre Association’s (GCA) annual conference in January (January 23-26, 2022). The conference, which will include talks, industry updates and opportunities to socialise, takes place at the Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa in Lancashire from January 23 until 26.

ATTENDEES at this year’s Garden Centre Association (GCA) annual conference in January (January 26 until 29, 2020) will hear from co-founder and Executive Vice Chair of the award-winning Eden Project Sir Tim Smit KBE.

The Crystal Maze challenge at GIMA Charity Day

A successful day and night of fundraising was had by all who recently attended the 10th annual GIMA Charity Day, held at Telford Hotel and Golf Resort on 6th June.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2019, the event brought together garden industry suppliers and retailers, with 18 four ball teamscompeting for the GIMA Golf trophy, and two teams battling it out on the new-for-2019 Crystal Maze course.
